Salzburg

Another early(ish) morning to catch a train.  Today I headed to Salzburg.  A few days ago I met some people that were going and they invited me along for the trip.  It made the train ticket super cheap (10 Euros).  We caught the train around 9AM and got to Salzburg around 11.

We spent most of the day wandering around a small park area on the way to the fortress.  We finally made it to the fortress and did a tour of it.  It definitely has great views of the city.  I don’t know if it was all the walking uphill or what but I wasn’t feeling well at all.  I think whatever I’ve got caught up with me climbing up to the fortress.

After we were done with the fortress we headed into the old part of town and wandered through the shops and restaurants.  There are all sorts of gems from modern stores to antiques.  The same with the food; traditional food to fast food.

By the evening time we were all getting tired so we decided to head back to the train station.  Hopefully we’d be able to find it since we got lost when we left there this morning.  After one wrong turn we finally figured out where we were going.  Our train would like a little before 7 and take us all the way back to Munich.  I was definitely glad to get home and get into my PJs.  Sleep will be good for me tonight.
