Notes and Thoughts

• Bicycles everywhere.  In the cities, in the suburbs, on trains, on buses, in elevators… people use them all the time.
• No pickup trucks.  I think I’ve seen one.
• I have no idea why the bells in church clocks ring as many times as they do.  Sometimes it seems they ring the same number of times as the hour, other times they just ring constantly for minutes.
• Everything closes on Sunday.  Make sure you have all your groceries or else you’re out of luck!
• The police will stop you for jaywalking.  I may or may not have found this out the hard way.
• German’s take their beer, coffee, and pastries seriously!
